Subject: Mack truck PTO??

I just bought a '94 model Mack CH613 the other day. Didn't think much of it when I bought it because it was very cheap and a quick purchase, but why would the PTO and pump controls be on the passenger side inside the little door under the bunk? Did they make a PTO on some of those that you didn't have to clutch to engage the PTO? I did talk to one truck mechanic and he said they did make one but that it was about a $2000 PTO. The PTO is engaged when I start the truck up, but it doesn't have a pump on it because this truck was pulling a tanker over the road and one of there other trucks pumps blew up so they robbed the pump off of this one. The only way I see of doing it is "tag-teaming" or getting my arm to grow about another 9 1/2 ft long! I've not ever been around a Mack before but the Freightliner I used to drive had to be clutched to engage the PTO. Got me puzzled.~~
