Subject: RE: pulling soil finisher with pickup

nc IA
Not as big, but a 19.5' 724 I pulled from wisc back to NC IA this fall, once I got onto the 4 lane (non-interstate) it trailed nicely at 42-44mph, in wisc running on 2 lane, with one tandem on the gravel, was more in the 30-35 range most of the time. Stopped to check hubs etc every 50 mi or so

Edit - afterwards, if doing over again, I would have filled my truck tank with 100 gallons of diesel - it didn't have much for tounge weight,, a big bump and it would seesaw a bit - mine has a 5 bar spike, pulled the chains on the spikes in as far as possible, that transfers a bit of the weight foward towards the center a foot or so.
