NC Kansas
we have ash also but i burn everything that is out there from cottonwood, elm ,hackberry, locust, and hedge, which is fun to watch as it sparkles and has colored flames and burns very hot so we just put a little in at a time. all our old hedge post that are 50 rs old go in the stove and makes a good place to get rid of them.
