You can cover a lot more ground with a switch plow vs a regular roll-over plow.

You have to have sandy soil to pull them though and we do. They do not work in clay.

If you have the horse to pull it you can run up to 5 mph with one and still do a decent job. We usually can't run that fast as we like to plow around 14-15" deep. Plowed some last year going 17" deep.
