Durand, WI | We added a third driving axle to two of our forage trucks last year in order to give us more traction and enable us to haul a heavier load. Our tandems were spring suspension (camel back) Mack and the axle that we added was air ride. We thought that we would be lifting the extra axle in tight turns etc. but after a small amount of use found out it was not necesary. We then used a air valve to set the pressure so that we had equal weight on all of the drivers. This combination worked out way better than we ever dreamed.
