They actually did paint the gavlanized hailstorms for a couple of yrs in the mid to late 90's. The R70 you could get as a green stripe and an orange stripe the year before they changed over to the R52-62-72. They were all powered by the air cooled Duetz and they still had the rotor discharge issues that the N and the R series before them. I dont think the discharge issues were resolved until the "2" series came out.
I watched a pair of R60 orange stripe machines, 1991 models with 400 and 500 sep hrs with 30' heads, sell out in Western Neb back in 98 for $31k and $29K. Seeme like a bargain at the time. Wish I would have bought at least one of them
