What size electric motor?

That matters just as much as the size and length of the auger.

Also is this a straight auger or does it have an angle joint in it?

 

If it is a straight auger and you're talking ground feed or cracked corn/pellet mix or something of similar density it should do fine.

If it has a joint in it and you are using it for premix or dical you'd need closer to a 1 hp if you wanted it to start by itself reliably.
