NESD | <p>I don't recall the exact location but it would be easy to spot, likely on the left side of the engine and is a spin on type filter, Deere installed the filters for a while but came to the realization that very few people were ever changing them so they discontinued installing them, I remember seeing ones that actually rusted thru.</p><p> </p><p> I looked in the parts catalog and did not find a 4960 listed as having a coolant filter, 4850 was the largest 2wd, all 4X4's up thru the 70 series show having one.</p><p> </p><p>I would not be surprised that the 4960 was supposed to get a coolant filter but it was scrapped after the operators manual went to print. </p>
