Subject: Treating Diesel Fuel

Elkhart, Illinois
How does everyone handle this when on the road. Nothing is more frustrating than going in a truckstop/station to ask about the fuel and noone knows. Not a difficult question but when they cannot answer, I treat for the worst situation and that costs $$$

Is it Bio? If so, what blend?
Is it number 2 with antigel or is it cut with number1?

You are pretty sure of getting some amount of BIO in Illinois. Fuel cut with number 1 versus number 2 with anti-gel costs me 2-3 mpg in the pickup.

Also, my mileage is always the best when I buy fuel locally that is straight #2 fuel with antigel and 0% BIO
