Subject: Re: setting planter downpressure

Jim is right on with setting the planter. I'm runnig a 20/20 as of last year. It really showed me where I was running too much down pressure in no-till ground. Don't know what crops your planting, but if your planting over 500 acres per year, the 20/20 will pay for it self pretty quick, plus the peace of mind. It will also help find if your planter meters are doing what they are suppose to. It definitly out performs a JD350 monitor. If your serious about downpressure, check out the 20/20 and Airforce systems from Precision Planting. I also like the ability to print planter records and maps from the 20/20.
