Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | Something I can not figure out about that tractor the 8550. 8550 is pretty much the same thing, except age, cab, sheet metal, etc.
The 844 cube engine was too big. So instead of cutting back the fuel and/or RPM, they designed and made a new crankshaft and rods [not cheap].
Then the 844 had too big a turbo, so new manifold and two smaller turbos.
Doesn't seem like a way too cut power and save money doing it.
