Subject: Relay suitable for microprocessor control

I need a relay that is suitable for control by a microprocessor.  I need an external 12 volt relay (less than 1 amp) that is controlled by the master application switch on a Land Manager.  There is  a 5 volt high/low wire in the master switch module.  A std "ice cube" relay's coil draws to much power, and many electronic relays (have tried 2 already and am tired of experimenting) do not work reliably with 12 dc on the output side.  I am afraid a reed type relay might not take the vibration.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.
