I had the same problem with cell phone reception in our house that has steel siding. To solve the problem I bought a magnetic car roof mount antennae & mounted it to the siding & ran the wire thu the office window, Whenever I am in the office I plug the antennae wire into the phone & get great reception. Works in a small space like an office but would be limiting out in the shop.
