Subject: Re: Grain Bins

We have 3 bins with stirrators & if we are going to heave to use heat to dry corn we use those bins. I never did care to use heat in a bin without a stirrator, always seemed to overdry the bottom. Once we get a bib dry we run the stirrator augers to the outside of the bin then fill over the top of the stirrators. When we go to remove the corn we unload the corn slow until it's down past the stirrator frame then will open the slide gate up all the way. Have been doing this for years & only problem we have encountered was one year when snow got into the bin & caused problems in the revoling electrical connector in the center of the stirrator.
