West Texas
We run 2 of them.
The early one is aproaching 4200 hrs.
At 3600 hrs it started missing. Okay, injector out we thought. Called Deere out and they checked it with their little laptop, nope, wasn't an injector. No compression on 1 cylinder and another one was low.
Tore it down and discovered a piston had come apart. The top came off and the one next to it was showing it was about to go.
They fixed it under warranty. Not too happy with that. First time we have had a motor open before at least 8000 hrs.
It's had it's share of little problems but then it's not been babied either. Waterpump, hose on ILS busted, cab pressurizing fan twice now, MFWD hub locked up at road speed for no aparent reason. U-joint worn out on front axle. Done had to replace some pins and balls on the 3 point links. (it has never had anything but 3 point equipment on it)
The newer one is aproaching 2000 hrs and has not had as many problems.
It was delivered with a bad computer. Caused all sorts of problems. Was replaced and all problems went away. The cab pressurizing fan has been replaced on it, and some kind of sensor related to the autosteer part of it has gone out. Right now it has something wrong with the ILS, it won't hold enough pressure causing it to leak nose down. May have to be split to fix.
Active seats in both, the early one I hate, the later one is working lots better. A/C is very weak on both.

I think we've had far less trouble with the 00 and 10 series.

We change fuel filters about 300 hrs.
