Not sure how many acres they can cover. First time we hired 8 rows. There's two 8 row strippers in this crew. They should be able to cover about 150 acres a day if it's good and dry and not too many problems. Another crew we hire has six 6 row strippers. They can do 2 circles a day easy. Have another crew that has at least 3 strippers, two 8 rows and a 6 row. We hire all our cotton harvested. Peanuts keep us busy enough. The brushes and bats that 'strip' the cotton from the plant can be adjusted tighter to strip it clean. But then you get a lot more 'bark', plant material, that will hurt the grade of the cotton. Thus reducing the quality and price. So we rather leave just a little bit out there then get the bark in the cotton.
