Macon, IL | Does it often seem to you guys if the combine is going to break it does it in the 1st 2 or 3 rounds of the day?
Been running good for a week-nothing more than a 5 minute fix. Today 2nd round lost a link in feederhouse chain-go get one and get going again lost 2 hours. 2 more rounds and outer bearing on primary countershaft exploded. 2 hours in the car to dealer (closest dealer didn't have parts) and back and 3 hours in the shop and it is 7:30 at night.
Just close the shed door, tired and dirty, and a whopping 6 acres done.
I guess you need these days to appreciate the good ones. And at least it is ready to go tomorrow. | |
