Sibley County, MN | I have taken 2 down stave by stave. Rent a manlift, take off roof & unloader out. Take bands off starting at bottom of third stave from top. Then start dropping the top two rows of staves down one at a time. They need to land on their end to survive the fall into some soft silage on the inside, or sand or gravel around the outside. I sold over 1000 staves for $2.75 to $3.00 each to the co-ops and propane gas companies. Yes it is a lot of work, but the only way to salvage staves that can be sold. | |
