Usually when you start to get some weak spots the whole tarp is getting bad. As other said glue patches on but start looking for a new tarp. Have used Both sioux and cardinal tarps. We used to have all red tarps on our trailers as I liked the look but tarp guys tell me the black will last longer. Seems to me it was xtra 80-90$ to go to heavier oz tarp so I am going to try that also
