Ontario's West Coast , Huron County | A crane that size will need a big footprint for a base . Have thought many times about making one . Depending on the size of your shop you could put one halfway down the length and have it with a support on the end with a wheel . Would be strong and not nearly as heavy a beam needed to lift the same amount of weight . An 80 x 60 shop would allow for a 40 foot crane . Yes you will need a dedicated spot for the end wheel in storage position but the cost difference would be worth it .
