West Central Indiana | Use to have a 9770 with the twin disc spreader and optional wide spread package. It spread soybean residue nicely behind a 35 and 40' head. What I didn't like about it was the fact that early in the day and late at night it didn't "process" the soybean residue hardly at all. Then the next spring sometimes it was difficult to pre plant ammonia without plugging up with residue or the field cultivator might bunch up the residue. Because of that I switched to a chopper and power cast tailboard. I feel the twin disc spreader did a more even job of spreading than the power cast....but I like the fine cut residue now. | |
