Hallsboro NC | It really depends on what kind of shape and what kind of wood it is as to whether there is any value in it. I have torn down several barns for the wood and there is good money in it if the wood is good. As some one that does it though unless your barn has some really special wood (chestnut, oak, heart pine) there is really not much money available to pay the barn owner, all of the ones I have torn down have be given to me if I agree to clean up the mess. I usually get what I want out of it pile the rest and let the fire dept. practice. The person that tears it down has a lot of work and time involved before they can get maximum profit, (pull nails, clean, sort). If you were close I would help you out. | |
