Subject: RE: EZ Steer Settings on Rogator 654

Peth,

Use the following parameters for your Rogator:

Antenna location = mount on top front edge of operator's cab
Steering Wheel Diameter = measure this
Angle/Turn 17-21
Freeplay = 3.5-5.5 inches
Wheelbase = Measure this, distance is from front axle to rear axle
Motor Speed = Man Max
Agressivness = 125%-140%

If using T2 technology (very highly suggested)...
T2 Filter = Heavy 3 (if under 12mph) or Heavy 1 (if over 12mph)
Antenna Height = Measure this from the ground to center of antenna (approx 120 inches)
Axle/Antenna offset = Measure this from rear axle, forward to antenna location (approx 160 inches)

If no T2 option....
Heading Filter = 3

FYI.....I highly advise going thru the Ez-Calibration again. Preset the agressiveness @ 130%. Do the Freeplay calibration on a hard surface (dirt road or gravel drive). The Angle/Turn calibration can be done in a field.

Make certain the front steering wheels of Rogator are straight when you engage Ez-Steer. Also, line up parallel to A-B line (you don't have to be directly on top of the pass). Within 3 feet is good.

One more item to check. If your Ez-Steer controller has the T2 option (i.e. the rectangular black box will have a white sticker on the top of it if T2 is installed), make certain version 3.00.01 firmware is loaded. On your Ez-Guide lightbar, go to the wrench icon, Ez-Steer, Diagnostics. This screen will show the controller firmware version. If you don't have version 3.00.01, your Trimble dealer or Ag Express (Des Moines, IA) can update the controller for you.
