If all you need is a 12 volt source when the seeder is down you can run a wire all the way back to the main clutch positive wire. When the controller on the cart turns that clutch on is when you would want recording to turn on anyway. And as long as you are just using it as a signal and not pulling any amps from that circuit it should be ok. The main clutch is back on the Left Hand rear cart wheel.
