NW ND | we seed with a bourgault 5710 at 9.8" spacing- no mid row banders, we use atom-jet side band openers. last year was our first year with this drill and opener, we sidebanded urea, and were extremely pleased with the results. very little wear showing with 8k acres on openers this season. they are the C-Shank Granular openers. They look crude the way they are painted, but they are an awesome opener.
our experiences have shown that flexi-coil stealth has been our poorest opener, they were better with Gen replacement tips, Dutch also makes a great product as far as wear. with 5.5" packers, you will want an opener to match to get good seed to soil contact. the reps will set you up.
