Subject: Re: AGCO ISOBUS

Hi all, there are a few players, particularly here in Australia that are finding ways around these inbuilt incompatibility issues that John Deere are brilliant at incorporating into their product lines. The trick is to develop a relationship with an ag based software company that has no conflict of interest in the supply of hardware of any fashion, the solution "Farmworks Farm Management" software. Go to www.farmworks.com and have a look at the incredible range of sensors, controller and monitors that they can get to cooperate via a little pocket PC loaded with their software in the cabin. For example it is a Farmworks generated platform in AGCO's fieldstar products, Dicky John's yield monitors etc. A good local electronics supplier in conjunction with your precision ag dealer should be able to identify what style of cable and pin head will enable it to attach to John Deere product. Last time we did this for a client it was a standard $15 cable from the electronics shop up the street.

Just for accuracy's sake AGCO has only purchased the right to manufacture and distribute the current BEELINE Arro model for the next four years in the US. The company BEELINE is still based in Brisbane, Australia with a full R & D team continuing to develop and test future technology that will remain their own IP. It is interesting to note that BEELINE was the first to proactively adopt an open architecture on its GPS guidance equipment. A little known fact is that the Arro model is designed to run off any of the generic radio signals provided by other manufacturers brands of base stations, CMR, CMR+, RTCM and can be programmed to take specific third party formats.
