Subject: RE: EZ500 remote switch wiring question

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Agboy is correct - the remote engage option for EZ-Steer is on the 25 Pin connector which goes to the T2 unit.

Then you could have the Coverage Map paint whenever EZ-Steer is engaged by picking the ENGAGED option on the 500 OR you could have the Coverage Map controlled by one of the other means such as the SWITCH option. Once again if you chose that route then the switch or relay is between Pins 4 & 5 of the 9 pin connector on the 500.

Agboy also mentions having the Master switch to the Insight control a relay which runs the Coverage Map on the 500. This is exactly what I do. One downside is that if Autoswath is used on the Insight, the map on the Insight will be correct but the Coverage Map on the 500 would continue to be painted as long as the Master switch is left ON.

Due to the crudness of the 500's map compared to the Insight's map I question if it is really worth the effort to wire in a relay.
