Mid Michigan | I would spread the manure and go out and moldboard plow the entire thing this fall . That will get everything killed off and even plow under all the little trees that might be growing out there too. We bought some ground that came out of crp for 25 years and it got plowed by the guy that farmed it before we bought it. I was glad he plowed it because it sure needed it. He was using a big Case IH 4wd with a 7 bottom plow and it worked the snot out of it. He lost one of his big coulters out there and I have never found it to this date. I have even chisel plowed this ground 12 inches deep and it never showed up again! | |
