This is one of my heavier farms that I run up here. Back home on what we called sand I could average 120-170 corn. What they call sand up here you better take the 1 off of the front of those yields, and then do a rain dance. We can grow good crops up in this area but water is the limiting factor. I think my dryland average yield is around 28 bushels for soybeans. Corn I would guess around 100 bushels. Irrigation (irritation) is a PIA but it sure makes a difference if it doesen't rain. Most of this ground that I run is a Sandy loam, with some pockets of loamy sand.
