North West IA/western AZ | Not sure if this is too helpfull for the JD but I had a similar experiance with my Case 1680. 2 fires in about 3 days. Windy low humidity hot days. In my case the seal around the rotary screen was bad letting the radiator plug enough that the airflow over the engine decreased, allowing the dust particles to ignite then blow off. There were little fires all over the left side of the engine compartment.
