Get a thermocouple reader and some thermocouple wire and make your own temperature probes. The thermocouple wire is cheap enough that you can make different ones or just mount some thermocouples in the bins and leave them there. Check this wikipedia page for info on thermocouplers and search www.google.com for thermocouples and readers. Omega is a good source of thermocouples. http://www.omega.com/
