Subject: Rogator hydraulic tank heater...

SW KS, near Dodge City
Has anyone ever put a hydraulic tank heater on a Rogator sprayer? Specifically a 1254? I've got one and it's a cold-blooded SOB, and I very rarely need to run it when it's cold, but when I do, I'd like it to run. Mechanic that knows those things inside and out said, yep, all the 1254's were that way. When I asked why, b/c my pickup isn't, he said it was due to the drag the cold hydraulic oil caused in the hydros, even in N. Said a lot of guys took the heater box off and just put either injection on it to start it. I'm not really excited about this idea, so I was wondering if anybody's had any experience w/ putting a hydraulic tank heater in these machines.
