Northern Indiana | Hawken Cougar is absolutely correct. The motor is overloaded or worst case going bad.
You say the motor is protected by fuses and a Breaker? Fuses are better protection providing they are the correct type. Breakers are good for three trips, then the accuracy falls off. Energy efficiency motors compound the issue of false tripping on motor starting. I would recommend you also have heater overloads on it to better protect it from overloading.
I am far from an expert, but have some knowledge in this area.
