Subject: RE: GPS Ground speed

Thanks for all the replies. To answer some of your questions so far, yes, the wheel sensor has been calibrated, software is version 16.xx, yes monitor is set to use gps for ground speed, and the monitor is getting gps signals through the CAN. I dont know if it is affecting my yield maps but, wouldn't a ground speed problem have to affect yield. If the speed is incorrectly bouncing around like is seems wouldn't it affect the calculations for yield? When I had the 600 in my planting tractor last spring to log varieties, I had it recieving gps straight from the 252 in through the 9 pin connection on the 600. I didn't notice the gps speed being so erratic in that configuration. What I have noticed when comparing GPS to radar in my other tractor using ez500 is that the two speeds do'nt agree but the difference is consistent all the time, for exapmle if radar shows 6.0 mph the gps will read 6.2 mph. It would be nice to figure this out and correct it.

Thanks again, P Jacob
