Subject: RE: Conserva Pak Airdrills

NW Washington
Some of the advantages of the Conserva Pak design is individual seed opener depth control, the lead fertilizer shank depth can be controlled for fertilizer seed separation and tillage depth, minimal soil disturbance ( well for a hoe drill anyway). Cons, more hardware means poorer trash flow, narrow seed opener, seed row spacing is usually 12 inches. However, I think the new ones have an optional paired row opener.

Seedhawk and StrawTrack use double shanks too, but the distance/depth between the front fertilizer opener and the seed opener is fixed on them. They also both have a fixed frame and individually controlled openers.
