South Central Kansas
What is happening is that when you grab the wheel manually it is causing to much of a voltage drop. Best thing to do would be to power the system direct to the battery and put an in line switch in to turn it on and off. Its that are disengage it with remote every time. Seen it happen a bunch and usually not even adjusting the override sensitivity doesnt help. Direct power should solve all your problems. Although I did have one which the direct power didnt solve the problem and trimble ended up replacing the motor because there was something faulty in it. I would say out of ten systems that did this nine were solved with the direct power.
