It should be fine on the front of the cab. If you have time it wouldnt hurt to put it directly over the fixed axle. Just make sure you put that setting in the 500 as it measures. The only time we see a huge difference is with autopilots running RTK, and then we do mount it over the front axle. All most all ez-steers the antenna is placed at the front of the cab.
