Boyd, WI
Hope this year goes better for us than last. We had a "perfect storm" last year with a drought, then rains right before the beans were ready to give up in August. They greened back up and looked exceptional. Sept 15th brought us a killing frost and nearly every single field had moldy beans in the pod. Then it rained every few days during harvest and rotted them even more. Got a start Saturday, and things look much better this year. It's late for us to just get started, and as it keeps raining out now and the forecast is for more this week, I hope we get a week of sunshine yet soon before the ground gets too soft.
