Subject: seeding brome grass

We are thinking of using a 1910 air cart and 1890 no till air drill to plant some brome grass. Our JD dealer tells us it will handle it. Just take all the down pressure off and let the disks roll along on top of the ground.

We want to plant a little wheat for cover but some people say plant the wheat first then the brome and let the press wheels push the brome into the dirt. Others say plant the brome and then the wheat and the disks will move enough dirt to get the brome covered up.

This is on some waterways and some new pasture. any suggestions or comments are appreciated.
