Subject: RE: Kuhn disk mower

Far as I know, Kuhn hasn't seen the need to put their parts books online.
Deere mowers up to the 1350/1450/1460 use Kuhn FC bars. I think the older series (26/27) use a Kuhn GMD or very similar design bar.
The similaraties between Deere and Kuhn pretty well end at the bar though.
Deere has their entire parts listing online if you sign up...

FC bars are modular and one module can be repaired in under an hour. GMD bars, unfortunately, are not modular.

Again, with a leaking FC bar.... open the level plugs(to vent), clean the cracks with a wire wheel or sand blaster (depending on whether the crack is wide open or not), then weld it up with a 3/32 rod. Again, OPEN the plugs when welding.
The FC bar is fairly heavy and will weld. GMD's.... probably not so much, or you'll burn the o-rings out on the GMD depending on where the crack is at.
