Went with an Orbit Reel kit.  Cost a bit, but it feeds much more consitently, that is what I was after, consistent feed.

It helped reduce the reel wrapping on the ends.  Not perfect, but greatly helped.  You have to get the Orbit adjusted correctly for the timing of the teeth or it will still cause wrapping also. 

Run a JD 920 , 1993 head.
