Subject: Dayton Generator

Central Iowa

I am hoping someone on here will be able to help me. We have a 20kw dayton generator at one of our hog building sites. This unit is 13 years old and we unfortunately bought cheap with very little support or knowledge of the unit. We bought this thing from Grainger and have managed to determine that it is a 1.6L Fiat motor. It runs on LP.

Anyway, the waterpump is leaking so I took it apart and am unable to find a replacement. It is under the front cover, and runs off of the timing belt. It is small enough to hold in the palm of your hand, and just bolts into the housing, no hoses connected directly to it.

If anyone knows where I can find parts for this thing that would be great. We had a relative in Ireland check on it for us and he could only find parts for diesels. With the other problems we have had with this thing in the past I am wondering if we should not just cut our loses and get a replacement.

 Thanks for your help.
