I had one broken on a 1020 once and the vibration was not noticable until the sickle was loaded. Running empty it didn't vibrate. We "fixed" it temporarily by bolting a chunk of another broken bar on top of the gaurds using longer bolts through the mounting holes on the gaurds. It just flexed a bit less in that spot.
