Don't know what model you are looking at but be sure they have installed the key stock sweep on the end of the rotor if you are ever going into green stem soybeans, it is standard on the 9X90's I beleive. Onion farmer mentioned about the only things that can be of major problem. If it is the 80 series and had a hopper extension on it check the bubble up auger for wear, if the top edge is sharp replace it but only with the massey replacement, I tried the add on plastic and it created major problems with the entire bubble up system, the flighting was too thick and took out the bottom bearing, the housing for the bearing, had to replace with OEM and rebuild, then no more problems there. Check the flighting in vertical unload auger it too can get sharp, did the plastic trick on mine and got by fine there.

Just normal things to look for other than mentioned above. I have had 8570, 8780XP, and now a 9790. In my opinion some of the best, most reliable combines on the market.
