Kalona, IA | Sounds like the exact same prob. I dinked around with on my 1688 last year. I finally got it working after discovering having it plugged in upside down. Both the header and combine don't have the original plugs. I used a multi tester and checked header wiring etc, etc. I think it finally came down to being backwards but wasn't totally certain as I had no probs after that as long as the alternator was charging well. Good luck but I'll bet it's in the connections somewhere. | |
