Western Oregon | I have a new style calc-an-acre with the magnetic run/hold sensor. Of course i was too cheap to buy the official microtrak cable so I'm using a reed switch that I wired in myself. I'm using it to shut my calc-an-acre off when my grain drill is raised out of the ground.
The question is, can i also wire in a relay to turn off my liquid fertilizer. There is 12v running through that sensor. So couldn't you use it to power one of those little KC Highlights head light relays?
I think I have enough room to put in another reed switch but using a single sensor would make a neater installation. | |
