Central Illinois | Did you find it? I have looked several times on my 9400 with a flashlight and a mirror and have never found it. The motor is different on a 9400 vs. the 9500 but mine looks like a regular water pump and looks to be belt driven (a belt from the pump to the alt. to the crank). When the mechanic did an inspection this summer, I had him look and he decided it didn't have one. I thought someone had said all the 9000 series had gear driven pumps. Good luck.
