Subject: Truck engines again and again

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Time to trade the twelve wheeler for a semi. I won't put 10,000 a year on it. My Big Cam II has been rock solid and I know it didn't have an easy first 500,000. 12 valve dodge has 300,000 with no maintenence issues. How old a tractor will I have to get to be mechanical and avoid the electronics hassle? 98? I figure it would be cheaper to rebuild one of them than to put up with the electronics hassle on a low use truck as it ages. Don't get me wrong I love electronics in their place, I just think the old style would work better here.
