Subject: Soybean Yields

N/E Iowa
Just started today, Yields are running in the mid 50's. Took two checks today on two different #'s. One was 56.5 it was a 2.5 bean ,The other is a 2.0 bean and went 53.5. Moisture is running in the 11.0 to 12.0 range. I was expecting 40 bushel beans because we were too wet at the beginning, then Aphids, then only 3/4 of an inch of rain in August. So far................. I'm not complaining!! Beans are knee high, and podded close, Small beans on top and larger beans towards the bottom. No doubt in my mind these beans would have gone 60 bushels plus if I could have gotten a 1 inch of rain when we were dry in August!! I live in Northern Iowa. Be safe!!!!!
