NW Washington | The straw is winding out of the rotor in a narrow strip or rope and not getting scattered or spread out by the straw chopper or beater. This tends to be a common rotary combine problem. There might be some fixes like vanes or deflector to spread this material out before it hits the straw spreaders. You can upgrade the spreaders to make them like a 2388 which will help some and scatter some of the chaff.
